I got time.

...to blog. heh. I've been away for so long I really have no idea what to type except on what have I been up to.

nothing.

Well, that's said & done. Sort now. As of now, I am sitting in Starbucks. Cookie points for me for finishing one report. ONE. yes one. I can practically come here every now & then to finish my work or have a talk session with..well...should we start naming names? :)

Heads up for UMS students, the Starbucks near the main entrance of OneBorneo get 20% discount for food and beverages. So go young Padawan go!

guess what's inside? a table. A TABLE. seriously.
Geology stuff.

happier times. :)

Earth Hour 2013 was a memorable one. We danced for the sake of dancing and we enjoyed every second of it. & oohh freebies!

"dancing gives me so much inspiration to express, to be graceful, freedom without restriction or pressure and endless imagination. That is why I dance." - Yatii, April 7th 2013

I went to a dance battle the other day at 51DC. To my dismay, I lost. But I realized that it doesn't matter about winning or not...heck it doesn't matter how many battles you went, how many opponents you faced, how many dancing classes you went, how many people criticized you on the spot for not following their ways, methods of dancing or how you lack techniques...at the end of the day, it's how you feel about yourself. Whether you improved, you lack some things in your dancing, your feelings into the music, how you accentuate your body and how it resonate to the music...it's all about you and your passion to dance. I am no professional dancer or do I call myself a dancer but...screw what people say, as long as you put a smile on your face when you dance, as long as you feel the music...to me, you are not merely moving your body, you are dancing.

To end this post...

in this case is BYE!

Midterms coming up, so will be busy with studying & whats not. Wish me luck! & do leave me stuff in my ask.fm

4th semester's starting....

...next week. Monday, per se. & I am back in my dorm. My dad drove me & my mom to KK this morning. Left the house around 6.30ish and reached the border of Sabah at what..10.30? 4 hours...damn that was fast. Well this was cause the roads were cleared i.e no traffic jams whether it was at the ferry queue or at the immigration checkpoints.

Good.

Just felt like blogging to...yknow, update. Seeing someone tomorrow & pretty psyched about that. :) Right now I have mosquitoes biting my legs & they itch like heck. My legs look like they have pancake patches on them oh dear. They're HUGE I kid you not but I won't take any pictures cause....ew no! haha

seems like the dormitory here got a makeover! good bye pink curtains & hello green curtains!
I for 1 like this shade of green. :)

seems like my whole diet regime in Brunei has gone to waste because I started nom-ing this. THIS IS SERIOUSLY GOOD. unf.

Speaking of good...

Yoga Lin or 林宥嘉 (Lin You Jia) released a jazz album last February 5th entitled JAZZ CHANNEL & if you dig jazz songs, them slow, mellow blues...give this one a spin. For this album, he sings in both English & Chinese for certain songs. My personal favorite is I Only Care About You.

that's all from me today. :)

Today, there was an exhibition on furthering your studies in the UK. It was organized by HRD services & the venue was at the Empire Hotel & Country Club, Brunei Darussalam.

So the exhibition hall used was the Indera Kayangan Ballroom.

Alright so the exhibition consists of Ministry of Education's Board of Accreditation & also the Scholarship Department (that was at the ballroom's foyer) and inside the ballroom was the participating universities that took part for this year's expo. Amongst today's participating universities conducted by HRD Services (& that I remembered *cough*) were :

University of Aberdeen. Aberystwyth University. Bangor University. The University of Birmingham. Cardiff University. University of Kent. University of Leicester. University of Liverpool. Portsmouth University. Newcastle University. University of Swansea. University of Nottingham. That's all I remember sorry. >< It will be different from tomorrow's expo cause tomorrow will be organized by the British Council.

Anyhoots. Shoots from today's exhibition.

we had to register upon entering. hello full name's exposed now. nyeh.

you get to talk to representatives from each universities. Ask them what to study, what sort of courses offered, how is the living condition/environment, career opportunities upon graduating...those kind of stuffs.

& you get to keep the prospectuses!

I myself went ahead & got 3 universities that I have shown interest in : Aberdeen, Newcastle & Portsmouth. Thinking of continuing my masters after I graduate but want to keep my options open so better check things out. What's important is that to ace my degree first & keep these as a reference & motivation. :)

the devil's spawn : Candy Crush Saga

so let's talk about apps. this game is so addictive I can't even....

HI. So before I go out for CNY a.k.a red packet hunting (lol), I finally decided to check out this game on Facebook. & boy was I hooked or should I say, regretted. The game format is pretty simple; it's your classic Blitz, Bejeweled game. Match 3 or more and get these awesome bonuses. In Candy Crush Saga (CCS), there's no time limit but there's a limited number of moves (like in Chuzzle) and a target points you need to score.

This is your homescreen, shows where your friends at & where you at. See the top left where's there's like a timer? You need like life/health points to enable you to continuously play (like in Tetris). THAT is the death of me cause I can't play shit yet. ugh. I suck at this game.

so after 21 minutes and 28 seconds...

aww yeah!

well. well. crap.

So I have to wait another 25 minutes for my health to increase by 1 so I can play again.

crying.jpg

I got bored so I downloaded the same game on my iPhone. It's available on Android app store too.

It's a good way to waste time while I am in the car. Game's interface is also good. The power ups are cool too but here's the con of it : IT AIN'T FREE BRO!

morecrying.jpg

Oh well. I just felt like blogging about CSS. ugh. Anyways! let's go out! red packets come to mommy!

& the theme ladies & gentlemen : green & black. ;)

boom goes the fireworks.

Happy Lunar New Year you guys.

As much as the Chinese bloodline flows within my veins....okay what the eff. HAHA. Anyways. Yes Happy Chinese New Year to my friends, fellow bloggers...and well..the general public (hi!). We don't celebrate the Lunar New Year cause I was brought up in a Malay environment even though we do have a bloodline..as well as relatives who celebrate the New Year. But it's alright. I know I will be collecting red packets along the way wohoo!

May this year of the Snake brings everyone prosperity, luck, happiness, love and all the good things in life that makes you giddy.

My new semester starts next week. NEXT-effing-WEEK!! time does fly fast doesn't it? I am on my 2nd year 2nd semester. Oh dear I have 1 more year till I graduate. crying.jpg

I was thinking of continuing my studies before I start work. I've been thinking over my options to two cases. 1) awarded a scholarship 2) not awarded a scholarship

IF I was awarded, I was thinking of either UK or Australia. But things are rough around here (plus my grades lol why) so option 2 is that I would want to go to West Malaysia either in UM or USM. I wouldn't want to get my hopes high so I decided to ace my exams & industrial training but have a plan at the back of my head. When all's well then I will think it over. Any advices? No? Yeah you can DM me over at Twitter personally. xo

I will going out in a bit..in like another 3 hours? Family friend's place. Haven't met them for such a long time. Decided to blog since I have been lazy...more like nothing much happened with my life. A month of holidays just wasted like that oh why.

& that is all.

Happy Chinese New Year!

The King of Dramas.

sexy sexy BAM!

So an excuse to 'kill time', of which I have too much time. When I am not on twitter (tweet me! @yatiirockstar), scrolling endlessly on Facebook, reading celebrity news on the Internet or whatever shinanigans I am up to...I watch dramas. I know this drama was aired last year but I finally have the time (& Internet speed) to watch it. The drama is this post's title : King Of Dramas.

What is it about? Well to summarize it : it's a drama within a drama! It takes you behind the scenes of writing, producing and production of a drama. How they fight for drama ratings, how they fight for drama time slots...dirty politics behind closed doors, scandals, family feuds, revenges...oh the epitome of Korean dramas!

Details

  • Title: 드라마의 제왕 / Deuramaui Jewang
  • Official international title: The Lord of the Drama
  • Also known as: Drama King
  • Genre: Romance, drama, comedy
  • Episodes: 18

  • Synopsis

A drama set on the entertainment business and revolves around the life of Anthony Kim, a brilliant CEO of a drama production company who would do everything and anything for money. Lee Go Eun is an aspiring assistant screenwriter, while Kang Hyun Min is the egoistic and arrogant top star.

    Cast
  • Kim Myung Min as Anthony Kim
  • Jung Ryu Won as Lee Go Eun
  • Choi Si Won as Kang Hyun Min
  • Jung Man Shik as Oh Jin Wan
  • Oh Ji Eun as Sung Min Ah

  • credits : wiki.d-addicts

Did you see it? DID YOU SEE IT? It has Choi Si Won. CHOI SIWON. CHOI-HOLY-SI-FUCKING-WON. *fangirl spasm* oh gracious let this post be blessed with Siwon's face.

that's my baby right there :')

The drama follows the process, the hardships, in producing a drama written by Lee Go-Eun called "Kyungseong Morning" of which Siwon is the lead actor in the drama. The drama has an equal balance of comedy, romance (but not too much which is a YES in my book), slice-of-life...and the drama got me so hooked! Siwon plays this arrogant, egoistic rookie actor who thinks he's all that. In his quote : "like Brad Pitt?" Amongst many, I LOVE his random English mutters. His English is NOT, I say NOT "Engrish" which is...oh dear I want to faint. Okay, girl, pull yourself together!

    *cues in Se7en's Going Crazy*

Okay going back, what I love most about Siwon's portrayal in this drama is that he's acting as an actor who 'OVERACTS'. yeah that's the word. We always see Siwon as Prince-like, CG-like and...as a person who is perfect in any way, but in King of Dramas, we see his comedic side & his face expressions are priceless.

Yes I might have blabbed a lot about him excuse me.

    Point is!

This drama, I highly recommend. Like I said earlier, it is a balanced drama. Well this is my opinion. I am currently on episode 15 and I am loving every moment of this drama. It makes you angry too at some point, come on, what drama don't make our blood boil? But it works in this case. I am planning to watch Innocent Man after I am done with this one.

    hello Joong Ki.

Anyways, if any point you want to read recaps or if there are anything in the drama (or any dramas) that you don't understand or you're just too lazy to watch the drama...here's a good drama recap site for you : Dramabeans.

    & I am off!

archive '12 : Pulau Manukan, Sabah

Peace, serenity : when was the last time you had cleared your mind?

Hi guys. So I was going through some old photos on my laptop & on my Facebook & decided to upload SOME of the pictures our class went for an island trip. You know, those 'bonding' kind of trips. So we went to this island called Manukan Island.

It's accessible via speed boat which you take from Jesselton Point. It could cost you around RM20 I think, this also depends on which travel agency you're using. We went in a group so we paid RM30, class event so we had food & stuffs. :) **NOTE : there are people on the side of Waterfront that will ask you if you want to go to any islands or not. BEWARE of these people. They can either extort money from you or are conmen. I am not sure, well I don't think they're licensed but please be aware. To be safe, use travel agencies are they do have a guide to walk you through.

    Moving on.

I was in charge of the warming up session. teehee. noob.

I didn't take much photos after the warming up session cause 1) I was lazy 2) I went to play 3) I was lazy to even take selcas oh dear me. But we had ice breaking activities after that so it was pretty much fun fun fun :) At the end of the day, we became close with our seniors & our juniors. So I think that was the best part of it all.

So this is my family, the UMS Geology batch of 11/12.
Not all of us are here but I am ever thankful to have them.
    :)
    *PS:/ this is JesseltonPoint.

One of the many attractions of Jesseltion Point (JP) is they have a wide variety of stalls & shops. You have restaurants nearby and you can walk to the nearest shopping malls in KK called Suria Sabah.

& well, this thing over here. yelp.

That is all for today! :)
